I spent 80% of December in the ICU for complications with my neuromuscular autoimmune disorder. So on January 26th, I went to pick up my medication and was given a partial along with my full amount. I was told it was the same medication just a different color. When I visited my neurologist the following day, he confirmed the medication I was given was entirely different and instructed me not to take it. I called rite aid who confirmed they did indeed give me the wrong medication. Had I have taken this medication, I would have been back in the ICU.
Desired outcome: They need to be held accountable for their mistake
Rite Aid - employee mistreatment/slander
So my wife was working for this rite aid for about 5 years. She started as a cashier and after 3 years worked her way up to a shift manager. Midway through her employment they changed management, new store manager, and assistant manager. Everything was fine until my wife got pregnant. One instance she was working and was feeling weak and dizzy, she went to the multi-care clinic in the store and the nurse sent her to the hospital. Her mom pretty much had to carry her out the door. She went to the emergency room and as she was being seen the assistant manager called her and yelled at her for leaving and not telling anyone, even though she told another manager on duty she was going. She then demanded that my 6 month pregnant wife that's having complications with her pregnancy return to work and finish her shift. Yeah no. There were several occasions where they would make her work a 9-10 hour shift without any breaks. They made her work night shifts as the only manager on duty thus making it impossible to use the restroom, which was located at the opposite end of the store. The assistant manager has called me at my work yelling at me and accusing me of lying about my wife's whereabouts, which almost got me fired. They called her lazy at work and gave her the most difficult mundane jobs that they could possibly find for her to do. When she did use the restroom, she would give her only employee on the night shift her manager code for return approvals and such because you cant hear the intercom from the restroom. She changed the code as soon as she was finished. They were doing a big investigation on the store for theft, so they interrogated all the employees like they were criminals. They made her confess to giving out her code, which has nothing to do with stealing. So they fired her, conveniently 3 days before her due date and delivery. So there was no maternity leave for her. So she filed for unemployment. She was denied for breaking company policy. She didn't know she wasn't allowed to give out her code because all the other managers and the assistant manager herself was doing it. Funny how the ready to pop mom to be is the only one that got canned. Nevertheless we fought unemployment. In washington, the employer pays your unemployment benefits, so they aren't trying to pay. So after 6 months of appeals and tons of phone calls later, we got to talk to a judge and have a hearing. We gave our case, the corporation gave theirs, and that a hole that interrogated her like a pow was on the line as well. Well sorry rite aid, (Not really!) we won. Thanks for the 3, 200 bucks. Now shes been trying to find work for about 6 months and no one will hire her. When i say nobody i mean nobody. She worked at rite aid for 5 years. Great work history, 1 job for so long. That's good. But not good enough. Some places she sends her resume to e mail her back 5 minutes later telling her she didn't get the job. But the add stays. We're beginning to think that rite aid may be slandering her name when they call her only work reference. What can we do?

Pharmacy was to lazy to call medicare to correct a billing claim for medication. Insisted I call medicare only to be told it was the pharmacy responseability to obtain the billing information to correctly bill medicare. To date they still won't call medicare. If you have a medicare Rx plan don't use Alhambra or K st Rite Aid they are the laziest and most non-professional phamacy in the Sacramento area and not even to mention their crudeness, even medicare was shocked by their attuide. Neighbor independent
pharmacies are the best.
I went into a Rite Aid in Hixson Tennessee to get a refund on a green dot card because I didn't realize you had to wait on a card to come in the mail before you could use it. When I got back to the store where I bought the item the clerk said we don't do refunds on these even with a receipt. I asked for the manager and was told he is off. When I asked his name I was told it was Mike Pemberton and that once he gets off at 5 pm they are not allowed to call him! I will not buy anything here again since they don't support my purchases when there is a problem.
Lousy Pharmacy, they constantly mess up prescriptions, inexperienced pharmacists; who overcharge customers for their medications, and poor customer service!
I walked in to a rite aid today store:04836 ny... and couldn't believe what i saw the manager of the store along with his female supervisor treating the employees so bad. ive never seen such bad treatment before like that. it felt like i was in a sweatshop, and the employees took the verbal abuse and kept working. i am very upset of what i saw and hope this is STOPPED. i think those 2 management people should get discipline action and be shown they cant get away with verbal abuse like that.. ill be back again to document what i see and hopefully it changes.
Rite Aid can be a great place to work and shop. It all depends on management. I love my Rite Aid store but hated working for the organization. I had an awful manager and all of my complaints over 6 months were negligently dismissed/ignored. Senior leadership was determined to mediate the abusive situation vs resolving it. This sent the message to my manager that's she's not going to be held accountable and can basically get away with ANYTHING including publicly humiliating, berating and teasing me. All of my complaints were very well documented and many times w/witnesses. The company chose to turn a blind eye instead of diving into the uncomfortable and challenging situation. I was denied basic benefits like bereavement and sick time because my manager wanted to punish me for escalating my grievances. I continued to give 100% due to my commitment to coworkers and those who depended on me. There was never a show of appreciation or basic respect from my manager. The entire situation was really sad and humiliating.
went to rite aid to pick up prescription (rite aid location 9810 Apollo Dr, Largo Md 20774) one car was there to pick up presc. before me was sitting there when i pulled up. i waited in line for 20 min. along with another car behind me and no service...

I am out of work duo to an injury that occured on 12/21/2015. Because of Travilers work comp, I have been in pain with a torn rotocuff and ripped tendon. This is not fair. I am constantly harassed by Rite Aid for info that was given 4 times. My case # is 169911. I need surgery and my job which Rite Aid seems to want to take away. My customers call me at home to see if any progress has been made. I thing Rite Aid is harassing me to resign or dismiss me which will be attended by the Court of RI and Media.

Stop the harassment and let me get my needed surgery.
I recently went into a rite aid to shop located (5627 Chestnut Street, Pennsylvania 19139) and I realized someone was trying to pick pocket me. I then proceeded to the front of the store for a manager or security officer to report the incident.
I was informed by Rite Aide workers that they don't have any security or protection for its customers nor staff. They were told to call 911 and they advised me that police officers usually takes half to hour to show.
I believed that that this corporation should protect its customers at all times while on their premises. I look forward to receiving your explanation of these matters.
In the last 2 years, I have suffered terrible incompetence from my local drug store. It began in July 2009, when I was given the wrong refill in a mislabeled bottle. I brought the incorrect bottle back, but not before taking an unsafe dose of the incorrect medicine. After that, I checked my medications carefully prior to taking them home. Over the past year, I continued to deal with Rite Aid because they were the closest local pharmacy; however, the pharmacy customer service declined. When I dropped off prescriptions, I was given wait times of over 2 hours for vital medication. In the past month, I submitted 3 requests for a refill for my primary medication, only to have that information "lost" or "missing", including a refill request made online and 2 made directly at the pharmacy counter. When questioned, the pharmacy staff act surly and unhelpful. The manager is heavily accented and difficult to understand. No help is forthcoming for patients of the pharmacy; they seem to not to care at all about their patients' wellbeing. I am switching my pharmacy to a local Target store; they have better prices on generic prescriptions, and their customer service simply cannot be any worse than Rite Aid's. No one's customer service could be worse.
