Shaw's

We have been shopping at Shaw's in Carver, Ma. for 8 years since we moved to Middleboro, Ma. a 55 plus community
My wife if shes goes shopping by herself and try's to write a check at check out.
She is told she has to have it preapproved?
She has been a member of your rewards program for this long
I do not understand why with a rewards program , We have to go through thay process
If she is on rewards program she should automaticly be cleared to write check?
