Sally Jean reviews and complaints
Items were paid for but NEVER sent
I ordered one of the 'Stix' charms and a silver necklace from Sally Jean.com back in March 2011. The money was taken immediately out of my bank and I paid through paypal. 2 months later I had not received my items so I emailed Sally Jean using the two email addresses from her website. I received no reply! So I sent another, again no reply... This kept going on and so I called paypal for a refund but because I ordered it over 6 weeks ago I couldn't claim! My order was just over 60 dollars. I then located Sally Jean on Facebook and sent her messages on there, no reply AGAIN! By this time I had sent around 10 emails. I'm absolutely disgusted by the cheek of this woman, she has stolen my money and failed to reply to any of my emails. I want this woman's site to be shut down because clearly this hasn't just happened to me! She is a theif and a liar, her site displays incorrect information - if you buy from her she will NOT send you the products, she will just steal your money. I am an art teacher in the UK and I used to be fan of her work, however I will now make sure I spread the word that she is a fraud. I am disgusted by the whole ordeal. It's now October 2011 and I never did received what I paid for.

You should call pay pal. There is a 45 days period that you can file a dispute and get 100% of your money back.
Thanks for all of your complaints. I too have ordered from Sally Jean and did not receive my product but money was immediately released from my account. The red flag was I received no emails from Sally Jean and when I did email no reply. I should have been more careful ordering from a website with no phone number or address to reach if needed. I took her online class and my cousin and her friends just love her jewelry. I thought there would be some sort of professionalism/honesty on her part. So sad because her jewelry is beautiful.
Sally Jean
Both my Mother-in-Law and I have ordered several times in the past from Sally Jean – we love her jewelry. We always get compliments when we wear her charms and therefore we have passed her name/website onto many of our friends/colleges. About 2 ½ months ago my MIL ordered a charm as a graduation gift for her niece – she has yet to receive this item even though it has been charged to her credit card. She has emailed several times (to two different email address for Sally Jean) and has not received one response. She also tried calling, but the phone # has been disconnected. Today she called the Better Business Bureau and they told her they have received about 30 similar complaints in the last few years. She has contacted her credit card company and thankfully they were able to reverse the charges. We are both really disappointed and we are going to make sure to tell all of our friends to not order from Sally Jean. It’s kinda sad– I no longer want to wear the charms that I once thought were really cool.

Both my mother-in-law and I have ordered from Sally Jean several times over the last few years. I always get compliments and have passed her name/website onto many of my friends, some of whom have ordered from her as well. We've never had any problems, until now. My mother-in-law ordered a charm 2 1/2 months ago for a graduation gift for her niece. The order was charged to her credit card, but she never received the product. She sent several emails (to two different email addresses for Sally Jean) and didn't receive a repsonse to any of them. She tried calling, and the phone # has been disconnected. Today she called the Better Business Bureau and they told her that there is no business associated with the address/phone #. They also said that over the years they have received about 30 complaints regarding this same problem. My mother-in-law then called her credit card company and they were able to refund her card the money that Sally Jean charged for the order. We are both really updset becuase we both like her products, a lot. We will definately be telling everyone we know not to order from Sally Jean. It's a shame - now I don't really like to wear the jewelry I bought from her in the past.

Refund NOT received!
I registered for two of the Sally Jean workshops offered in Chicago during September 2010 and paid a total of $330. The classes were cancelled by the instructor (Sally Jean) due to a "family emergency" and I have not received a refund. I have repeatedly been trying to contact Sally Jean through email and PayPal but she is not responding. I finally resorted...
Read full complaint and 5 commentsTook $- did not fill order or respond
Like the others...they have a great looking site- took my pay pal order for over $140 and did not respond. When i inquired within the first 2 weeks she emailed telling me they were moving and be patient (now I think to get me past the 45 day paypal window) and now they will not respond at all. I did notice on the site, they have a new Christmas 2010 area- so they are still soliciting business.
Very frustrating. Very unprofessional. I guess I can kiss my money goodbye.

Merchandise Not Received; Failure to Respond
In September 2008, I placed an order with Sally Jean for two items; one a charm, the other a necklace. Although I received the charm (albeit in an untimely fashion), I never received the necklace. I have made several attempts by e-mail to resolve this matter with no response from either Sally Jean or her husband Brad, who apparently handles the business aspects of the company.

I also lost 50 bucks to Ms. Sally Jean. I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the State of Oregon but she simply ignored those as well. PayPal was unable to provide assistance because, as I patiently waited for my necklace -- ha!, the time for submitting a complaint to them had lapsed. (You might want to check that out as an option.) In any event, I feel your anger and pain.

I ordered a Workshop DVD and 6 months later I have yet to received it. I have sent them numerous emails and have never even received a reply to my email!
I say everyone who has paper work of paying for classes, such as company it was written it was made out to, who cashed it. PayPal info or any other way that can be verified. All involved, get together and hire a good attorney when you have EVERY shred of evidence, bank statements, PayPal info and credit card statement along with every thing that was documented. (Make sure everything is documented, date, time, who you spoke with or emails, just everything that BUILDS your case). Then go after her and put her out of business. Try to contact other customers who lost money through other websites.
GET THESE PEOPLE.
ME TOO! Wow...I ordered a charm and never received it. Yes, I only spend 25 dollars, but to me, that was a lot of money. I wish I would have known of her bad practices before I ordered. NOT a good way to do business. The comments here are from 2010, and this is 2014...guess she is still treating people the same way.
Oh no! I just paid for her online workshop and haven't heard anything either...I am beginning to get an uneasy feeling about it :(
I encountered this very same problem! I finally resorted to filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am like a dog with a done on this... I will NOT stop until this woman gives me my money back. If I am not successful with the BBB, I am considering contacting an attorney. It sounds like Sally Jean's business practices are nothing but corrupt!
I registered for her chicago soldering for virgins workshop. Sally Jean cancelled the workshop two days prior and has never issued me a refund or responded to my repeated attempts to contact her. My classmates and I are out $165 each and very disappointed to find out the truth behind someone we'd admired. Don't register for her workshops!
OMG! Sally Jean is such a rip off artist! She copies from so many others out there- it's awful. PLUS, she is such a great person, she took my money, never contacted me, never responded, Brad never did either, AND get this... I went to annegarrisondesign.com BUT I made a typo and entered annegarrisondesignS.com. Guess what? It went to SALLY JEAN's website! SHE IS A FREAKING B. I promptly emailed anne garrison and told sally she was awful. A few days later the rip off website was taken down- I hope anne garrison chewed sally jean a new one. I have heard that sally's classes are awful too but that was a few years ago. I am so disgusted with her, so tired of her- I wish people woudl stop helping her out and supporting her. She isn't very nice, does not go out of her way and is obviously an extremely dirty woman... who does things like rip off other artists? PUBLICLY? And please publications- stop throwing her a bone, stop always showcasing her/your friends- get some new artists that deserve the spotlight instead of your friends! And sally- get a better business model! Oh, you may want to file a complaint on complaints.com- it has helped me in the past. Good luck! Do a web search out there for other artists- I have purchased from most and have had such great experiences...
I will never order from her again - I sent in, via Paypal, for a necklace that was never received. No replies to emails and I feel like I funded her fancy trips to Italy. I had ordered from her before and had to wait a long time for the charms, but this did it for me. I will never order again and wish I had some way to let her know that 50.00 might not seem much to her, but to a teacher, it was a lot of money.
And her husband is a mindless robot who simply follows orders.
Not surprising - Sally Jean is a narcissistic, self obsessed woman who believes she can do no wrong.
I have not received the videos I ordered on Jan. 1, 2012. It is very sad, unethical and disrespectful that an artist would treat other artists in this way, Her behavior is in very bad taste as well as incredibly poor business practice. She manages to blog on a regular basis but won't follow through with orders or with any a courtesy email. Shame on you Sally Jean.
I placed three separate orders, none of which came. I then started Googling Sally Jean, only to discover that lots of people have not received their orders. It's very weird, because I know someone who just attended one of her workshops! It is unbelievable that she has been getting away with ripping people off for so many years, and yet her business is still thriving. I was lucky, because I got my money back from my first two orders from Paypal on the 45th day. I am approaching the 45th day on the third order, and I will definitely get my money back again. But I really wanted the merchandise rather than the money. I would be so mad if, like you, there was no recourse. I would report her to the BBB, except that they already say on their website that her business is not BBB accredited, presumably because of the 20 complaints within the last 3 years... So apparently there is no recourse. Very frustrating. If enough people get their money back through Paypal, maybe they will stop doing business with them.
