We rented a car with ACE through booking.com to pick up at their Ft. Lauderdale office and paid for the Collision insurance ahead of time. We brought a copy of the receipt of the insurance and the declarations page. Additionally we showed them on the phone that we had purchased it. The car (without taxes and license fees, etc. should have been $122. I told them we didn't need any of the extra insurance including the 'tire insurance' whatever that is. Ultimately they charged us $167 in extra charges. All inclusive tolling, tire protection, daily extension insurance and collision --which they listed on their site as CDW. When I called to tell them they still charged us for the collision $86.97, they refused to budge. I called multiple times to explain that we HAD collision and didn't need it. The gentleman at the counter checking us in didn't care and just added on all the extra charges. I called the main number and they told me I had to call the local office. This back-and-forth happened multiple times. At one time they guy even called me 'stupid' because I didn't realize that the CDW charge was collision when I picked the car up. Additionally, they have not returned our $200 deposit. We literally drove the car 40 minutes to our destination where it sat for 2 days before we drove it back. It also smelled like smoke when we picked it up. It's an AWFUL company. I have rented cars multiple times before and have never had to deal with such unscrupulous incompetence.

Desired outcome: The only thing I asked for was the refund of $86.97 for the collision insurance we had already paid for through booking.com.
